In 445
B.C., due to the Babylonian siege, the holy city of Jerusalem lay in ruins,
crumbling, devastated, and a hollow shell of her intended identity. Her walls
were burned down, and her gates were in ruins. Nehemiah, a Jewish captive, set
out to rebuild and restore what the enemy had destroyed. The first step was to
fortify: rebuild the wall surrounding the city and repair her gates.
The
repair process Nehemiah underwent to repair the wall and gates around Jerusalem
is a pattern for renewing our minds and sanctifying our souls as disciples of
Jesus Christ. Do you often feel you are not living the abundant life Jesus
promises in His Word? Even as a believer, do life's circumstances, your past,
or unhealed pain guide your life and decisions? Despite your best efforts, do
you struggle to overcome fear, anxiety, anger, bitterness, or addictions? If
so, Rebuilding Our Gates: A Hebraic Discipleship Study on Renewing the Mind
and Transforming the Soul can assist you in identifying the root causes and
equip you to step into your identity in Christ.
In this
study, you will examine the following:
- What is destiny and
purpose?
- What is the difference
between living from a love-based identity and a fear-based identity?
- What is the difference
between religion and intimacy?
- What is salvation?
- What is personality?
- What are the core beliefs
that drive our daily life behaviors and choices?
- How do our minds work, and
why does that matter?
- What foundational beliefs
determine how we view the world around us?
- Why does God hate pride and
self-sufficiency?
- How does what we watch,
read, and listen to affect our beliefs?
- What is joy capacity, and
how does it relate to the trauma and pain in our past?
- What are attachment
patterns, and how do they impact how we do relationships?
- Do we live a disciplined
life?
Rebuilding
Our Gates: A Hebraic Discipleship Study on Renewing the Mind and Transforming
the Soul is a
Hebraic discipleship study, which means it is rooted in Hebraic thought,
culture, and concepts. It uses the original Biblical languages and Hebrew
alphabet to unlock mysteries hidden beneath the surface. You will learn to
dissect God's Word at the deepest level to unlock hidden treasures that will
change how you read the Bible forever.
Jesus
Christ promises a life of freedom for His followers. This freedom is found when
we renew our minds and transform our souls. Will you join this journey around
Jerusalem's wall as we visit each gate? See you there!
