About

Do you long for more in your Christian walk? More peace? More joy? Do you long for your life to look more like Christ's, free from fear, shame, and bitterness? Do you want to fulfill the destiny for which you were created and live each day with eternal purpose? Finding the more can be found on the ancient paths (Jeremiah 6:16).

Ancient Paths Discipleship was founded by Dr. Brandee Loftis after she discovered the more her soul longed for. In 2012, she cried out to the Lord, "There has to be more than this!" Not knowing what her heart truly longed for, God began to answer her cry over the next decade and a half. She discovered that the more was having an intimate relationship with God, who is Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, and learning to study the Bible through deeper levels of study than we normally understand in our modern interpretations, as she learned to study using the original culture and languages from which the Bible was written. Her life changed, and she is confident yours will be too!

APD teaches the Bible from the original languages and culture, so we can be rooted and grounded in a truth that never changes, despite shifting cultural trends and beliefs. All teaching is rooted in the original cultures, languages, and soul-healing principles. Combined, this way of teaching reconnects us to how God intended the Bible to be read and interpreted, and transforms our inner man so that we reflect the life of Jesus.

Dr. Brandee came to a saving faith in Jesus Christ in her late 20s after the birth of her son. She began pursuing God through the Word and fell in love with Bible study. This love led her to get a Master's and a Doctorate from Louisiana Baptist University. The seeds of teaching were planted in her at fifteen and have now blossomed into the desire to mentor, teach, and equip others to study the Bible at the deepest level possible and to have an intimate relationship with God that grows them into mature disciples.

Dr. Brandee has been married to her husband, John, for 28 years. They have one young adult son and a dog named Treehouse, who is her constant Bible study companion. They live in Hendersonville, TN, and attend Long Hollow Church.
